| A WOMEN IN THE OUTDOORS Event |

Women are discovering that hobbies such as camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, hunting, shooting and birdwatching are fun ways to reconnect with the special people in their lives. At daylong events held throughout the United States and Canada, women receive expert instruction and a chance to try a variety of outdoor activities thanks to the National Wild Turkey Federation and its partners.
Class Offerings:
-Basics of Saltwater Fishing with Dr Julie Ball! This is a 2 hour class! She is a World Class Angler, regarded as one of the top Saltwater Anglers in the world, earning Top Angler awards in the State and is ranked as the 3rd top female World Record Angler for 2007.
-Advanced Saltwater Fishing with Dr Julie Ball - Rigging, & Techniques!
Immediately following the Basics Class will be the Advanced as Dr. Julie goes into Rigging and Techniques that have gotten her this far.
-Outdoor Survival & First Aid! Spending time in the woods camping, hiking, or hunting is always fun. What happens if you are miles from a phone, or another human and you get hurt.
-Archery! Have you ever wanted to shoot a bow? This is your chance to try it out.
-Kayaking with Tidewater Kayak Anglers Association! Learn the basics of kayaking. Get ready to take it on the water. We will provide the kayaks and the gear. All you need do is provide the courage.
-Gun selection, Care and Maintenance! From the right size to a gun you can handle.
-Turkey Hunting 101! Learn the different calls and techniques used to harvest a turkey!
-Rock Climbing! Spend some time learning how to successfully climb a rock wall.
CLASS INFO:
Check-in: 8 am. Welcome and introductions: 8:30 am. Class starts: 9:00 am.
Come prepared for the weather, rain or shine.
Workshop Fee: $35.00 Includes session instruction for classes, class materials, a lunch, WITO membership, one-year subscription to the WITO magazine, door prizes, silent auction, raffles plus some new hobbies and lasting friendships.
Participants under 17 years of age must have a parent or guardian.
